Aaron Perri Joins Foundation as Vice President, Community Impact
Former Director of South Bend VPA says, “There’s no place like home.”
The Community Foundation of St. Joseph County announced today the hiring of Aaron Perri as Vice President, Community Impact.
As the former Executive Director of South Bend Venues Parks & Arts and Downtown South Bend, Inc., Perri brings a wealth of experience and connection to the Foundation’s philanthropic efforts, as well as a proven passion for St. Joseph County. Perri’s local roots run deep. He’s a graduate of Adams High School and holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from The University of Notre Dame.
“Aaron’s optimism and deep love for the South Bend Mishawaka area are well known,” says Rose Meissner, Foundation President. “I am delighted the focus of his vision, talent and experience will return to St. Joseph County. The tremendous impact he has already on improving our community will continue in to thrive in this new role.”
During his time with South Bend VPA; Perri was instrumental in improving local parks and tourism assets, and has been on the receiving end of Foundation grants in the past. After nearly a year in the private sector working with cities across the country, he’s excited to be able to continue to invest in the community he’s always called home.
“At the end of the day, there’s no place like home,” says Perri. “I’m excited to plug back in and to help write the next chapter of our shared story.”
Perri’s first day with the Community Foundation will be Monday, March 18.
