As the Community Foundation has grown, we’ve developed an important role as a local leader. We do more than simply collect and disperse funding: We identify shared issues and concerns within our community, we convene groups to talk about those issues, and—once we’ve gathered as much data as we can and listened to as many voices as possible—we propose solutions, in the form of major Foundation-driven initiatives.
