Buechner Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY:
- Be a St. Joseph County, Indiana resident
- Be a currently licensed teacher working in St. Joseph County, Indiana
- Intend to pursue a full-time graduate course of study in one of the following programs:
- Indiana University South Bend: Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education or M.S.Ed. in Educational Leadership
- Bethel University: M.Ed. Generalist, M.Ed. School Leadership, or M.Ed. Literacy
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and satisfactory academic progress
- Demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
AWARD:

Scholarships will cover up to $2,500 of required program tuition and fees each semester for up to 6 semesters of full-time graduate enrollment (4 credit hours). The award cannot exceed the cost of tuition and mandatory fees for any session in which the scholarship is received.
RENEWABILITY:

The scholarship is renewable upon submission of the Community Foundation’s renewal application each February 15 and if the above criteria are met. Scholarship funds can only be used for required courses in the approved Bethel University or IU South Bend programs listed above.
