Foundation to Host Free 21st Century Scholar Success Fest

Area students can complete steps, receive FAFSA help, and much more

The Community Foundation of St. Joseph County will host its 21st Century Success Fest at the Community Learning Center from 9:30am to 12:00pm. This free, drop-in event provides local 21st Century Scholars the opportunity to receive assistance, ask questions, and to get that much closer to receiving their 21st Century Scholarships.

Eighth grade students who are at least 13 years old will be able to receive assistance setting up and accessing their ScholarTrack accounts – the portal all 21st Century Scholars use to complete program requirements.

High school students who are already enrolled in 21st Century Scholars will be able to complete required program steps in order to maintain their eligibility.

The event will also include opportunities to speak with representatives from local colleges and universities, virtual campus visits, FAFSA help, and the opportunity to interact with current 21st Century College Scholars.

Event details are available at cfsjc.org/events. >>

What is the 21st Century Scholars Program?

The state of Indiana launched the 21st Century Scholars program in 1990 with the goal of helping low-income young Hoosiers earn college degrees. For students who qualify, enroll and complete the program requirements, 21st Century Scholars provides up to four years of undergraduate tuition at Indiana colleges or universities.

Here in St. Joseph County, the Community Foundation is leading a team of 30+ partners in K-12 education, higher education, economic development, and social services in a coordinated effort to INCREASE the number of local students who complete post-secondary degrees through this program AND secure good-paying jobs in the region.

21st Century Scholar Success Fest is part of that effort!
