Resources for Middle School Teachers and Counselors
Middle school teachers and counselors are often the first contact that students and their families may have about the 21st Century Scholar program. Even with auto enrollment, students and families still need your guidance to understand the program, its requirements, and how to access their ScholarTrack accounts! We’ve curated a list of resources, including links and helpful tools to most effectively communicate the 21st Century Scholars program to your students and their families.
After the passage of House Enrolled Act (HEA) 1449-2023, current 7th and 8th grade Hoosier students who are financially eligible for Free and Reduced Price Lunch will be automatically enrolled in the 21st Century Scholars Program. Parents and guardians of eligible students no longer need to complete an application for their students to participate. Students who are automatically enrolled in the 21st Century Scholars program must meet all requirements to obtain the scholarship upon graduation.
If your students were not auto enrolled and would like to apply for the 21st Century Scholars Program, they must do so by June 30 of the student’s 8th grade year. More information here.
