Reins of Life Expands Its Facilities, Offering More Services than Ever Before
Thanks in part to a $150,000 Special Project Grant, Reins of Life cuts the ribbon on renovated facility

The improvements are striking and unmistakable: a shining red barn, expanded horse stalls, a sheltered and accessible front entrance, additional classroom space, an enlargement of the indoor arena. Already, the organization is able to provide more services to more people more often.
“The changes are already impacting the number of people we serve, the different types of needs we can meet, and the depth of what we can offer to each person,” says Kathy Taylor, Board President.
It’s been a banner season for Reins of Life. The October ribbon cutting came a month after the organization received Special Recognition through the Foundation’s Leighton Award for Nonprofit Excellence.
Dorota Janik, Executive Director at Reins of Life, recognizes that this moment is just the beginning. She remains passionate about the organization’s mission:
“In the right setting and with the right support,” she says, “everyone can thrive, gain more independence, heal, be happy, and feel accepted.”
